  17. Program Description:

  19. PC-PAYROLL is a complete, menu driven payroll system for moderate sized
  20. companies, up to 40 employees for floppy based systems, up to 200 employees 
  21. on hard disk systems.  PC-PAYROLL accepts hourly, salary and tips as well as
  22. bonuses and commissions.  A variety of pay period options, overtime, and
  23. after-the-fact conditions can be accommodated.

  25. Federal, state and local taxes, FICA, withholding and user defined
  26. deductions, 401(K) Plans and Cafeteria Plans are internally
  27. computed.  The authors have included necessary tax computations
  28. in the program, and an appendix accommodates taxes of several
  29. states which have special, additional requirements.

  31. Paychecks are printed in several standard formats.

  33. A full range of reports are included; monthly, quarterly and
  34. year-to-date summaries, Federal Tax reports (W2, W3, 941) and a pay
  35. period detail.

  37. PC-PAYROLL is well organized, and appears to have as complete a list of
  38. facilities as commercial, remote batch processing payroll systems which
  39. many small firms commonly use.

  41. PC-PAYROLL requires periodic updates for internal tax tables.  A
  42. subscription to PC-PAYROLL is available, and includes a printed manual
  43. and periodic updates for each year.
